Ray made a mistake once on my 10 year old Legacy, leaving a mar on the dash. He called to inform me, and offered to reduce the charge. It was hardly noticable, and not of any consequence considering the age of the vehicle. I have since had him replace the engine, at a surprizingly low cost.

I have had two jobs done and all seems fine afterward, the communication about the work needed and time needed and price all were great; I will go back again.

Excellent work, honest, considerate, always advises before
spending. I simply won't go anywhere esle.

We first learned of Ray a couple of years after buying
our first Subaru. We have since bought two more Subarus
for a couple of reasons: 1. They are good vehicles with
all wheel drive and 2. We can use Ray as our primary
mechanic.
Ray is a stickler about reminding us that scheduled
maintenance is preventative and necessary for the warranty
to be valid. A couple of months ago, my catalytic converter
went. Ray informed me that it was still under warranty and that I should return to the dealership; he even highlighted the appropriate section in the warranty booklet. He does not
do work unless it is necessary and will tell a customer how
much time or how many miles they can expect from a certain
part before it needs to be replaced. I have never left his
garage wondering, "Did I really need that done?"
Ray is the salt of the earth, and, as I mentioned
earlier, we have bought two new Subarus, because he is in
place as our mechanic. Do yourself a favour, the next time
your Subaru needs work, contact Ray's Auto Service.

Unfortunately, Ray is no longer doing repairs. I used Ray’s since 1998 for most of my repair work and was always satisfied. I wish Ray well and hope he heals soon.
