My wife took her Hondas to Richard for 20 years before
deciding to move up (?) to a Saab. I bought my Subaru
from him at $1000 under book, even though he'd installed
new brakes, alternator, tires, and other minor items -
it's still going strong at 175,000 miles. He has been
unfailingly competent, helpful, and friendly. He has
loaners for major jobs, and has even given roadside advice
via cell phone on a couple of occasions. Can't recommend
him highly enough.

Richard is terrific - honest, direct, and very skilled. We
go to him for all our basic needs; when he diagnosed a blown
strut (accurately) he asked us if our car was still under
warranty - when we told him it was, he suggested we bring it
to the Honda dealer to get it fixed for free, rather than
paying him (as he doesn't do warranty repairs.) When it
turned out the warranty didn't cover the struts, we brought
it back to him, and his charge was $100 less than the dealer
quoted us.
He also has loaners for repair times - we are a single car
family, and that's a fantastic thing - very few folks around
here do that. (Again, the local major dealer will lend you
a bicycle for a while... but that's it! And they have a lot
full of used cars.)
When we first bought the car, we were bringing to that local
dealer for all the repairs & oil changes; we found Richard
after, for the 2nd time, the car came back from the other
folks in worse shape than it started.

I have always trusted Richard and his staff. My husband was
a fussy engineering type and chose Richard's for the work on
our family cars. Got rid of the husband, but never the
mechanic!

After a not-so-honest experience at the local Honda dealer,
I went to Richard's based on all of the above
recommendations. I have had honest, consistent and
extremely competent experiences ever since. It's completely
restored my faith in Auto Mechanics!

I discovered Richard in 1986 when I bought my first Honda. Until recently, I owned Hondas non-stop since then, and he has worked on them all. In fact, I bought two of my cars from him. He is super-competent, prompt, honest, straightforward, fair, and communicative. I cannot say enough good things about his work and his integrity. A great mechanic.
