John Doyle (JD) and his crew are top notch mechanics. I have been taking my cars there for almost 20 years now. John is a brilliant mechanic and a super-nice guy, as are all his staff. They are as honest as they are competent mechanics. I have had cars repaired there for brakes, head gaskets, cat converter, oil lube filter, water pump, starter motor, you name it. Best to try to give them a week's heads-up, but will try to squeeze you in if they can. John will give you an estimate and stick to it - but I always just ask him for a ballpark ahead of time and he's usually right on the money (pun intended). I highly recommend anyone in the Chelmsford, Lowell, Westford, Acton, Littleton area to use JD's Auto for their next auto repair!

John Doyle is one of the two most honest mechanics I have ever known. He fixes the complaint. He will recommend repairs that should be done, but he does not recommend repairs that are not needed. I have used him for over 10 years on multiple cars with consistent, excellent results. He even will go the extra mile to save money. for example, instead of replacing the HVAC control panel in our Toyota when the AC started to have a mind of its own, he repaired the root cause of the problem, a broken solder connection. This saved over $400 on that visit alone. I have also recommended him to many other people. They all have been pleasantly surprised with the results. If I ever move, I can only pray to find a mechanic as honest and capable.
