I got a recommendation for Foreign Auto Center after having
a *really* bad experience with a Mitsubishi dealer shop. The
Mitsubishi shop had my car on and off for two months trying
to track down and fix a problem, at significant cost to me.
I took the car to Jimmy at Foreign Auto, and he found the
problem that day. His repair solved the problem, he showed
me the warn parts and demonstrated the source of the
problem, and his price was excellent. I've had several more
occasions to take my car there since then, and I've been
very satisfied every time.

Nic is incredible with his knowledge and experience on
European cars. He's maintained four different Mercedes for
me over the years and never fails to quickly pinpoint the
cause of any problem. Rates are quite reasonable and fair
with the vast experience he has behind him. Jimmy is great
with the Japanese cars and I've known him even longer. They
have become like family to me and many other customers. They
go by time a job actually takes, and sometimes charge for
even less time, and never by the shop book as the dealer
does. You're always in good hands with Nic and Jimmy. A+++

I had a great experience at Foreign Auto Center 251 Prospect St Cambridge, MA. I drove my 84 300td up to Boston for a conference. After sitting for 5 days it wouldn't start. After a bit of searching on-line (including the Car Talk website), I call Foreign Auto Service. They basically diagnosed the problem over the phone. AAA towed it to the shop and they go it running in a few minutes (air in the fuel system). Not only did they not charge me, they showed me how to do a roadside repair if anything happened on the drive back to NYC. Really nice people who went out of their way to help me.
