I found about Paul Robitale and Brookline Foreign Motors through the CarTalk radio show. My interactions with him and his staff, as well as the repair that has been done on my old Honda Civic have been most excellent. What stands the most about these guys is their honesty: During my first visit they told me: "We are not necessarily the cheapest guys in town, but we will do your work with quality and using original parts for your car"; this has turned out absolutely true as they have NEVER screwed up and have done the repairs in a timely fashion striving to fit my hectic schedule. Another example as when I had a "poor quality" muffler put on by another mechanic. Mr. Robitale took the time to explain me the pro's and con's of changing this muffler and in fact, persuaded me to keep things as they were given the age and mileage of my car (when to his advantage he could have persuaded me to change the muffler). In summary he's a great mechanic, I highly recommend him for his honesty and I truly feel I can trust him.

Since coming under new management the service and, more importantly, competence, have fallen to unacceptable levels. My advice is to stay away from this shop.
