Uses factory parts only when necessary/advantageous. Does not encourage unnecessary maintenance/repairs. Tries to accomodate customer's schedule.

Hondaa King is simply amazing. We came across them after a bad experience with the dealer and found a place that we felt we could trust thoroughly. They were helpful, courteous, competent, well-priced, and honest. When our muffler rusted through, we took it to them to get fixed. A dealership had told me previously that muffler and the B- Pipe would need replacing. Hondaa King replaced the muffler, showed me the problem, but simply sanded the rust away from the B-Pipe. For the last two years, I haven't had a problem with the exhaust system. When we got our brakes fixed there, they did replaced the pads and discs, showed me where the discs were rusted, and charged me just a little more than the dealer would have charged just to replace the pads! Again and again, their prices were extremely reasonable, they told me all the information I needed to know, and let me make informed decisions. I appreciated most that they watched out to avoid costly repairs when possible. Great job!! I can't recommend them highly enough.

THey have taken care of our 2, now aging, Hondas for the last 5 years. Scott has always been honest with his suggestions as to what needs repairing, and what can wait a little. He has always called things on the nose! We always recommend him to other Honda owners

Really nice. Took the time to explain things to me (I asked him to pretend I was his daughter and needed advice). This is really the only place I'll take my car.

I was from out of town and these guys were recommended to me. I found them honest and competent and am getting ready to take my still running car back to them for advice. Often this is a nightmare with a shop, but I trust scott.

The only reason I keep a car in Boston is because of these guys. They're more than honest and fair, always explaining exactly what a problem is, and the various solutions. If there's a $5 solution, they're more than happy to do that. I can think of several times where they could have told me ANYTHING, but clearly didn't (the persistent rattle that turned out to be a $7 gasket, for instance). They're always looking out for me, too - once I mentioned I was about to update the yearly inspection, and they gave my car a thorough lookover before I left (free), and pointed out a few minor things (burnt-out marker lights) that could have cost me a lot of time and money at the inspection. I've been going to them for years ... couldn't recommend them any more strongly.

Went here on the overwhelmingly positive recommendations from this site. Everything you read here is true. They overshot their estimate for new CV boots for my '91 Camry by $20 due to an unforeseen price increase from the factory, but I have no reason to believe that they were being deceptive in any way. This shop is down-to-earth and friendly; it seemed that everyone else in line ahead of me was a repeat customer.

I went here after reading reviews on this site. I had a noise in my front drivers side, and had also been told by my previous mechanic that I needed to have my timing belt and water pump replaced. I told Scott this and he informed me that I don't have a timing belt (I have a chain) and that my water pump was fine (thus saving me about $1100 between the two). The noise turned out to just be my front brakes, which he replaced for $250 as quoted. While working on them he also found that my rotors were frozen on and coming off in chunks. Normally this would cost an additional $200 but since he had already started and it was unavoidable, Scott just replaced them for free and told me afterwards. While he wasn't the friendliest guy I've ever talked to, his prices were super reasonable, he didn't rip me off (and he easily could have) and even did some free work for me. I see no reason I won't use them as long as I live in the Boston area.

Why it took me over a year to realize that the best mechanic for my 88 Accord was right in my backyard I'll never know. Scott & Co. have been nothing but totally superb, fair, honest, and funny as all heck! They don't ever do unnecessary repars and always let me know if something is different than what they originally thought and wait for my approval before proceeding. Scott is always patient, and happy to answer all of the questions I have about my car no matter how pedestrian they might be to him.
