I have had my work (and my families work) done at Common Street for close to 5 years now. Murat (the owner/mechanic) is an extremely nice man to deal with. He is prompt with all work he does. On occassion he has had difficulty getting a part on time, but always tries to accomodate me or my family. His prices are extrememly reasonable and fair.

Murat is great. Honest person with great communication skills. He had the best pricing for a new set of tires in the entire area - the work was complete on time just has he promised. The entire job was handled on the phone, the results were as discussed. A great place to bring your VW.

We've been keeping our old car in large part because of how easy it's been to have it maintained. Murat has been so reliable (and cost effective) with fixing the annoying little things that go wrong on any 13+ year old car that it's been a disincentive to shell out the money for a few car. He is really accomodating, provides timely service, and charges very reasonable rates. He also seems to understand his clients and communicates clearly what is needed. Looks like our old car will keep going for many more miles...

These are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. I constantly worry that mechanics are going to take advantage my lack of knowledge of cars, and it’s especially stressful when I have some emergency situations. These guys have saved my tail two times now, and they’re always very thorough to explain the problem. They always welcome me back to look at the car and point out exactly what’s wrong, how it happens, and what they can do for me. Both times they’ve been able to have me in and out the very same day, as well as drive me home while I wait. I know most big name places will do that for you, but these guys are a small team but very passionate about what they do. This time around they even had someone come out to jump start my car so I wouldn’t need a tow, I happened to be the last one to need to leave this morning, so I didn’t have anyone who could help out otherwise. My insurance company was of little help, was going to charge me $75 and make me wait 90 minutes to be jump started, these guys came in a half hour and asked for nothing (given I will be paying them because I need the help). They’ve even offered to try and find a lifetime warranty part just in case something is to happen, which with the old age of my car, I can certainly use that. The first time I ran into them was to make sure my car was up to inspection as I was transferring the state of registration and I had a check engine light on. They again didn’t ask for anything to check my engine light, while many other places asked for $100 just to check it. I had something that needed fixing, I was shown in detail, got it fixed and my inspection sticker on that day. I couldn’t ask for a better mechanic even if I tried.
