He's basically fantastic and is one of the Volvo mechs who adapted quickly to the 850 rather than stare at it and wonder where the driveshaft is. High praise for an extremely competent mechanic-me and my 94 850 Turbo wagon thank him profusely.

These Ma and Pa forign car specialists are a breath of fresh air. They did a great job fixing my 93 SAAB 9000 CDE. They only fixed what was wrong and saved be a lot of money. Although they sell late model used cars, they didn't inflate the severity of the problem thus encouraging me to replace the wreck, or major parts thereof.

Tom has looked over my vehicle more than once before starting a long trip, to provide a comprehensive assessment for a reasonable fee. He is wonderful to talk with and more than once has correctly postponed replacing parts that still had a good deal of life to them (a less reputable mechanic would have jumped at the chance to swap out good parts). Fortunately for me, it seems Land Rover owners are attracted to this place, and Tom has developed a good deal of expertise on them.

For years we bought Volkswagens because we had an honest, inexpensive, miracle-working mechanic in Holyoke who specialized in them. When Mr. Webb retired we wandered the desert for a time, but I thought I found a dependable shop also specializing in VWs. After one job, however, my Rabbit (250K+) came out running worse; after two more visits it was no better. On a friend's advice I tried Tom and Laureen, and at the end of the day it ran like a top. We haven't been anywhere else since, driving Toyotas now.

Really dependable mechanics. They are honest and resonably priced. They are able to accuratly diagnose a problem with just a little info. and they are quick to fix the problem. My wife is always being talked down to by mechanics and this is the first shop that always treats her right. An A+ shop.

Came to Tom (based on comments on this website) after multiple attempts by another local shop to fix an oil leak problem with my 94 Volvo. Tom hit it first shot. Also have had work done on 2000 CRV. This shop is THE BEST! I will go no where else. Trouble is it takes a week to get on his schedule....but well worth the time. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Also works on British antique sports cars, MG, Triumph, Austin Healey.

They are great. My child goes to college in the area (Amherst MA) and I live in Tennessee so most of my interaction has been by phone. Anyitme I have called they have treated me with care and concern and have been helpful in solving my sons issues. If you know about Land Rover Discos you know they will have items that need attention. In every case they have solved the problems agt a reasonable cost. They are a great shop that works with customers. Well Done!!!
