I've been bringing various cars to these guys for about 15
years now. They take the time to explain what's going on,
and more importantly, they don't try to make you do unneeded
repairs. They will suggest cheaper fixes/patches if you
don't need to replace something entirely. They're a little
bit of a pain to get to if you don't have someone to pick
you up after dropping off a car but otherwise I think
they're great.

When I moved to the area from Worcester, I began scouting
out a place to bring my 1995 Celica in the event that I
wouldn't be able to drive it to my trusted shop. Trombly
Bros was recommended by a friend, and I haven't looked back
since. They take the time to explain what's wrong and have
never spoken down to me as a woman. They're honest, polite,
organized, competent, and get the job done quickly - but
always let you know what's wrong and give you the option to
opt out of fixing it. They're good at setting realistic
expectations with older cars. Their prices aren't bargains,
but they're fair, and the parts used are legitimate. I
wouldn't go anyplace else!

I have been going there for inspection, but this is the
first repair my car has needed. Another shop told me I
needed brake pads and rotors. Trombley's 2nd opinion was
that they were fine- come back in 6-9 months (or when they
knock) and they'd do the job. And that performance and
price would not change, based on no repairs being done
now. Thanks.

My first visit there was excellent. They explained everything that they were doing, and spent time correctly diagnosing a problem that had an intermittent noise, and that a previous shop said they couldn't detect (they didn't try that hard). They recommended NOT fixing it (always a good sign) because it wasn't necessary until the clutch needed replacing in the future. Nice, competent, take the time to explain things. Highly recommended.
