I asked for a quote to replace the timing belt of my Volvo
V70 wagon. 128 Volvo/Saab had quoted by over $1000 to do
the timing belt and water pump at the same time as a
standard service item at 105,000. Bob quoted me $468 for
the same work, and said it might be slightly more based on
some minor items that might also need to be replaced.
Enough said on price!!! He has always been up front and
explained what was needed well.

A family-owned shop that's been in business for many years.
Having done much of my own car repair work over the years,
I consider myself pretty good at evaluating mechanics.
These guys are good and take the time to explain the "why"
and "how much" and "what if" issues with any repair.

These fellows are very pleasant as far as customer service
goes but know very little about modern cars. I took in my
Mazda MPV with a transmission leak, several hundred dollar
later the still had not managed to fix the leak and managed
to end up costing me several hundred dollars more at a
different place to get is repaired properly. They are
certainly very pleasant, and I never felt they were
overcharging me. They just had no idea what they were doing.

Several months ago, I moved away from Andover -- where I
had lived for 6 years. My biggest regret, was leaving my
mechanic behind. I took my Honda Civic to Dan and the gang
for all six years. They were always fair, honest and did
their best to keep the prices down. Dan is great at
explaining what needs to be done and what options might
exist. The shop is located about one block from the train,
which makes it very convenient for getting to work. I
highly recommend them!

I moved from CT to MA after college for a job and I work down the road from Andover Auto & Truck. I usually work on my car at home with my father but I am too far away to do that and needed someone else to work on my car when a problem arose. I was suggested by a fellow employee to visit Andover A & T and use them. I had a complicated wiring problem with my tail lights and couldn't pin-point the exact problem. I took my car to Dan and the guys and they found the problem and were able to fix it same day. Dan is very good at thoroughly explaining the problem in detail and how to fix it and the various options. I went back two other times when unrelated problems arose and was met with the same care and service. I would highly recommend them to anyone and always return to them if another problem arises.
