I have been taking my toyotas to Michael and Nancy for about 15 years now. They treat me like one of the family, making sure that my cars run well, are safe, and that I don't spend all my money to maintain my car. They listen carefully to the problems and, if they don't have possible solutions in mind, will go over the car until they identify the possible problems. Because they work on "Oriental cars" exclusively, they are very knowledgeable. If the problem isn't clear, they will efficiently work through the possibilities in a cost - effective manner until the problem is solved. I have recommended many people to them and they have never been dissatisfied. Often they become loyal customers, like me. They have great hours and will sometimes stay opena little late if I am running behind and can't get to their garage before its closing time. It is great that they are on the Green line (B) - it is a snap for me to leave my car and then use public transportation. They also do inspections.

I wouldn't even think about taking my car anywhere else. Michael and Nancy are the best.

I first heard about Oriental from the reviews on this website and drive a 94 Toyota Corolla. I've brought my car to Michael and Nancy for the last year and a half. Michael is always very thorough explaining exactly what is going on in my car, showing me the parts that have failed and explaining why they have failed, and presenting me with various options for repair. He has also pointed out some truly sloppy work done by my family's previous mechanic of many years. Nancy is a gem! She often works at the counter and is always sweet and polite answering my often basic questions about my car. She was also able to diagnose a failed engine mount over the phone.

I came to Oriental Imports twelve years ago, a 50 yr. old woman who had never owned a car. Michael inspected a Honda civic I had selected and he was right on the money about its assets and what it needed. He and his partner/wife, Nancy have walked me through the maintenance and upkeep of this vehicle with practicality and competence. Judging from contacts with other customers in the office and from correspondence on the bulletin boards, many people feel the same way. (Yearly pictures of families demonstrate their loyalty) Oriental is not a fancy place-- it is a working shop where you know everyone involved. I highly recommend it.

My wife and I have brought two of our cars (toyota corolla and mazda protege) to Michael and his wife for years. They are remarkably reliable with repairs, fixing everything right the first time. More importantly they are honest, straightforward and will answer questions about what NEEDS to be done versus what "can wait." They treat us like real people and explain everything in ways that non-mechanics can get it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Oriental was recommended to me in 1987 when I first moved to Boston. They have been my mechanics ever since. I'll never forget the time that I needed a new radiator while I was in college and couldn't afford it. It was almost the end of the summer, and Mike (the owner) suggested to me that I just save up my money over the winter and keep an eye on the engine temperature - and just turn on the heat whenever it started to rise. That simple advice got me through the winter, and by spring I had saved up enough for a rebuilt radiator. Mike's wife Nancy often runs the front of the shop, and she is as friendly and informative to women as she is to men. An EXCELLENT mechanic for women, according to all my female friends who go there.

They have been my mechanics for over 15 years. Back when I was a starving student I balked at the price of replacing my old Nissan's radiator. They told me not to worry - it was the end of summer and I could probably keep the car from overheating by turning on the heat. They suggested I just save up my money and replace the radiator in the spring. So I did. Great service and wonderful human beings!

We've been bringing our vehicles to these folks for about 17 years -- Hondas, Toyota, even a Ford. They've been exceptionally terrific to deal with.

I have been bringing my '94 Camry to Michael for 5 years now. He has diagnosed my car's ailments multiple times and his guys routinely make minor fixes at no additional cost when they are doing other major work for me. My exhaust manifold has been leaking for a couple of years now, and they just keep applying patch goo on it for me, telling me it's not worth the money to have them fix it. An honest and trustworthy mechanic!

Michael Kung and his wife Nancy are the gold standard for car service. We have used them since 1990. Brilliant at diagnosing and repairing. Unafraid to tackle projects that others would walk away from. And always fair prices for outstanding work. Also very nice human beings.
