Stewart's Auto is a little far for me and hard to get to with a baby and only one car that can transport a baby, but it is worth it. Over the last 3 years I have taken my cars there whenever someone else has screwed up or tried to charge me too much. He is always honest about what needs to be done and his prices are way lower than anyone else I've been to. Recently, I took my 1995 Suburban to a new place located on the SW corner of Westport Rd. and Goose Creek Rd. (They have a custom Hummer, which should have tipped me off) and they wanted to charge me over $1000 for a brake job and a leaky hose, including an unnecessary water pump and not including the problem with the antilock brake system. Stewart's Auto fixed all the problems PLUS my sticking back door for around $350. I will NEVER go anywhere else. I cannot recommend him highly enough!

Great mechanic, honest and very friendly. Had AC work done on my Saturn and he was able to quote me estimates over the phone and did the work in a timely manner. Completely satisfied and will take my vehicles there in the future!

Just in case you don't read the rest of this review: do not do business with this stupid, obnoxious jerk. So my Aunt passed away recently, which I'm not saying to elicit support but just to provide background for my story. Her car, an '09 CRV, wouldn't run, so along with all of the other problems associated with handling an estate I took on the responsibility of trying to get this car fixed up so it would actually be useful. I found this shop right here on and figured it would be as good as any place to have the car towed and looked at. I called the guy and explained the situation and told him to expect to have a Honda CRV towed to his lot that day (which did happen, because the towing company was actually able to do their jobs). I left my contact info inside the car, prominently hanging from the driver's-side sun visor so that the mechanic could call me. Cut to this morning, one week later. I haven't heard anything from the guy. I figured he was busy (he said it would take him a few days to get to it last week), but a week had gone by so I decided to call him. He immediately started yelling and ranting at me about this unidentified car that's been sitting on his lot for three weeks (I tried arguing that I had it towed there no more than a week ago, and he wouldn't have it). He threatened to impound it if I didn't have it removed today. Fine, I understand that you can't have unidentified cars sitting on your lot. However, I told him that day (within a couple hours, even) that I would be towing that exact car to his lot and I left my contact info inside as per his exact instructions. The way he treated me on the phone is completely ridiculous and made me feel terrible - more terrible than I already felt having to deal with a car belonging to a close member of my family who tragically and suddenly died only a month ago. All this nonsense about the car being there "three weeks" is just adding more insult to injury. I'm just greatly offended, upset, and outraged that this moron would fail so completely to do just the smallest amount of his job and then blame it all so vehemently on me - a stranger who was, until recently, prepared to pay him a lot of money for what is certainly a simple repair. So don't do business with this shop. The people here are obviously completely incompetent, and if they can't handle a simple phone conversation I would absolutely not trust them to handle my (or anybody else's) car.
