Jim (the guy behind the counter) is great and is always helpful, albeit a little quiet and shy sometimes. He and the other guys really know what they are doing. I have had them work on many different cars, and even when I worked in a shop, I would send some of our customers to them, because I know they do a great job.

When I bought the 1982 Volvo DL, I found receipts where much work was done. I suspect the previous owner gave up trying to find an intermittant problem. I took the Volvo to Jim expecting a $500.00 repair including a fuel pump, and was stunned when they found a fuse block corroded and fixed the little car very inexpensively. I've spent much more in the last 5 years, but for a car w/ over 200,000 miles on it, she runs like brand new. When Jim fixes something, I've never had problems with that again. I wish they worked on Fords too!

Been using Jim and his crew for 20+ years. Everything from oil changes to engine re-builds. A good man who is first and foremost honest. He's even talked me out of servicing I thought i needed, but didn't at the time.

I went to AJ's after reading recommendations, and was very surprised to their honesty, first off. Multiple times their crew has talked me out of spending hundreds on repairs I thought I needed. Most recently I was convinced my power steering pump needed replacement, so I tried to schedule a time. It would have cost $680, on a Mini Cooper, and they insisted the problem was not that bad and I needed no service. That's rare... Great knowledgeable guys, and I feel very confident with any car.

I got to AJ's 20+ years ago when my gas station guys didn't work on imports. He recommended the place. Jim's saved me from costly repairs in the past. One time they rebuilt a motor for me. It had some problems and they completely rebuilt the motor no questions asked. It actually got more MPG than before! I like guys who relate more comfortably to machines rather than people (thus, I like Jim's reserved style). Andrew Schauer

This is the best place I've ever had work done. It's a little pricey, but they do a great job, get you in right away, and get the work done that day. This may sound screwy, but I'm always impressed at how they keep the shop. It is spotless--really light and clean-- it's just nothing like what you would expect from a typical auto repair shop. I can't help but think that that attention to surroundings is reflected in their attention to the cars they work on. I would recommend this place to anyone.
