I couldn't disagree more with the previous reviewer. I have always found the guys at PTL to be honest and competent. I have an older (18 years old) car that still runs well but has the problems of older cars (leaky seals, etc.). They have searched high and low for salvage-yard parts to save me money, they have recommended against certain repairs when the cost was ridiculous compared to the value of the car, and they have always been prompt and courteous. I'm not sure who the previous reveiwer dealt with, but Roy - the new owner as of the last several months - has always been great to me. They're the reason that I've been able to keep my car running well for as long as I have kept it. And, my boyfriend has a newer car, but still more than 6 years old, and they never perform a repair on it that isn't absolutely what the car needs.

Never had a problem with PTL. They are prompt, courteous,
and seem honest. When Ford dealer (Jordon Ford) totally
messed up my Crown Vic intake/throttle body, PTL got it
corrected and running right again. They also fixed my air
suspension for a reasonable price. Two people I know have
had the same experience. The location downtown is a bit
inconvenient, but they open 7 - 5:30 so it is easy to drop
off/pick up before/after work.

Very honest, reliable, and competent. PTL is the older name for the shop; now it is Hedman Tire and Auto. They sell lots of tires, but also do most other types of mechanical repairs. I have been taking my cars to them for decades.
