I took my truck here after a bad experience with Bill McCoy Ford (also rated on this site.) They were able to diagnose the problem quickly and at a reasonable price. I also had them do some extensive brake work which they did well and quickly. Not only did they take the time to explain the problems, but they offered me advise on doing some of the repairs myself (which I did.) A friend of mine has also used them extensively and she reports feeling very comfortable with them. They won't let her out the door without a thorough explanation of the situation. I highly recommend them and can now say that I have "a mechanic."

I have used Sparks for over 15 years, and have had several autos during that time - all used cars. They have always been helpful, accomodating, and honest. If the problem was something they could not repair (transmission, for example) they helped by directing me to a reputable, reasonable shop to do the work. They checked out used cars I was looking to buy, and always gave me great advice. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone, and for women especially: they don't treat you as stupid!

John and Vern are the greatest! I have been taking our cars there for about 2 years and have always been satisfied. They take the time to explain what is needed as well as the repairs order of importance. I especially appreciate that I can call them and they will come and pick my car up from my place of work and return it to me. I don't want to sit in an auto repair place and wait and I certainly don't want to get my care serviced on the weekend while I'm grocery shopping. I know I have asked some "womens car questions" but I never felt as though my questions were thought of that way by them. I recommend all my friends to go to Sparks. And they do!

Sparks has worked on my vehicles since 1991. I started with them after another large, locally popular shop could not solve a problem in my 1986 Olds Cutlass. I have never had to have the same problem in the shop twice. I have checked their prices from time to time against another local shop and against a dealer, the prices are always very close to the other place's price. I stongly recommend Sparks. I even have them check a vehicle before I buy it to see if it has any major problems and if it is one they will feel comfortable to maintain for me.

I've used a lot of repair shops over the years and I trust the people at Sparks to do the work right the first time and not pack the charges. They are honest, thorough and professional.

This shop really saved me in a bad situation. My car broke down on the Interstate and the tow truck driver recommended Sparks to me over the garage that AAA set me up with. I arrived at Sparks at closing and the owner was kind enough to stay open so that my daughter and I could wait for my husband to arrive from out of town to get us. The owner carefully listened to me and noted what I told him, then quickly assessed the car himself and explained the problems to me. He was very respectful to me and my daughter and treated me and my husband both as being intelligent consumers. Its also located on the main drag in town in a good area. A lucky find in a bad situation!

I've gone to sparks 3 or 4 times just because they were close to my house and I didn't have time to look around. They fixed the problems I had, but they always ended up charging me around 500$. The repairs seemed big so I figured I wasn't getting taken to the cleaners too much. This last time they wanted to replace my muffler for 500$. That just sounded crazy so I talked w/my friend who is a long time resident of Muncie and he said that was crazy and I should go to Bradshaw's. They did the repair for 200$ after taxes. They showed me what was wrong and were a bit more personable. Sparks is a bigger operation, but they clearly jack up the prices and aren't as personable. They are nice but it's over priced. Not going Back!
