OK. Here's my story about Rick (who listens to your sad story and supervises the work). We come back from Colorado and we're both thinking the front brakes on my wife's 1998 Honda Accord are 'chattering' and 'pulling' to the right. So I bring the car in and ask Rick to check out the breaks & front end. When he calls back he says, "We've had the car on the lift, wheels off; the brakes and pads are fine and there's no problem with the front end at all; I took it out on the street and ran it up to speed on the interstate and still can't find anything wrong." So he charged us forty bucks for his time. He's worked on my Ford Explorer six or seven times since I bought it, once even going to the junkyard to get parts for the front end to save me some cash. He's just an honest guy --and he always insists on telling you the entire story of the repair (and giving you nicely cleaned little broken pieces to back up his narrative). It's a pleasure doing business with him, even though he's in a part of town that people sometimes avoid, it's fun to see what nice cars are waiting around to be picked up in the lot across the street.
