My mother and I have both been taking our cars there for a couple years now--she drives a 2002 Mercedes M Class and I have a 2004 Toyota Solara. Our neighbor told us about Neal Automotive because she took her minivan there but also heard they worked on luxury cars. We were tired of dealing with the long drive, astronomical prices, and general inconvenience and unpleasantness of taking her car in to the Mercedes dealer, so we decided to give Neal a try. They fixed a couple problems that the Mercedes dealer either a) claimed couldn't be fixed or b) charged unbelievable fees to handle. They're very honest about what they're doing with a car and will take extra time to work out a problem--they never rush a job. I recently took my Toyota in because I was concerned it needed new transmission fluid, but they took it and called me in an hour saying that everything was fine, they'd looked over the rest of the car just in case, and that they definitely wouldn't be charging me for the service. A great place that I highly recommend to anyone.

Chris Neal got my business by word of mouth, and when he had the opportunity to rebuild the AC, then several months later do a tuneup that I knew involved hundreds in ignition parts, he saved me money when I would have been pleased to have both full jobs done. Instead of the full AC, it was $250 for a receiver/dryer, and his assurance that my 2002 Explorer with the 4.6L V8 would continue to run well until it wouldn't, and that if he'd have done the preventive tune up I was looking at $600 in parts that at the time were not needed. Such honesty, such a nice guy. Indy's southeastern suburbs are very lucky to have him!!
