We have two VW's and have always trusted Bernie and his staff and have been going to him for years. He has always been honest with us...many times he will say, what has to be fixed now, what can wait, etc. The shop isn't the least expensive in the area, but I am always confident that he can get the job done right without me having to worry if I'm sinking money into un-needed repairs.

I have 2 Audis and have been going to Bernie for a number of years. He understands the situation of money being tight, especially since working on German cars can get a little more expensive and will never try to push for work that isn't needed. In my experience, his prices are always way below dealer, very competitive or below other mechanics and he does everything he can to make a job affordable. If there seems to be an issue with the repair, he is very quick to get the car back in to look and in my case, the issue found was always something unrelated to the repair that he performed. Not only would I recommend Automeister, I really wouldn't even consider taking my German cars anywhere else.
