We have been using this shop for over 10 years and they have always been honest and fair. They have worked on our foreign cars (Mazda, Honda) and US cars, ancient and new. They always tell us what the problem is, give us some choices, and proceed after we have discussed it.They also tow (yep, we've used that too). If they can't figure out the problem, they explain what they've tried/tested. We have recommended friends to them and they haven't been disappointed. They NEVER do more than we ask, which is what I was finding with other shops (suddenly all our belts needed changing, brakes look worn, etc.???!!!) The shop has no waiting room, atmosphere gets a zero, but I can't tell you how much we appreciate their honesty. We have taken EVERY used car their for appraisal BEFORE we bought it and they have never steered us wrong.

My rear defrost didn't work. I went in knowing these problems are ususally big dollar amounts, and a pain to fix. The technician sat with me for an hour while he tried to pin point what the problem was. He checked every connection, and finally determined that the problem was in the dashboard - the counsel had a fuse blown. He told me where to go to buy one, then showed me how to install it myself. I got ready to leave - asked what I owed - he said "Nothing". I almost fell over. I've gone back. They're honest, forthcoming and affordable. They only fix what you need them to fix. The only mechanics I've found like this previously were related to me.

I work about an hour's drive from home so one day when my car began giving me trouble on the way to work, I was worried that I might not make it home. A coworker who lived in the area told me her family had been taking cars here for years and had never been disappointed. I wasn't, and I've been taking my cars there ever since. These guys do great work and are always very honest. Once they figured that I like doing some work on my own cars when possible, they started suggesting which repairs that I could do myself to save some money and which would be better left to professionals. The shop isn't much to look at, but they are very friendly, and take the time to make sure everything is understood before and after the work is done.

I recently moved to the west suburbs and needed to find a trustworthy mechanic to take care of my Toyota Solara, and my wife's Honda Civic. Mark and Dave took great care of me on my first visit to their shop. They went on a test drive with me to check out a suspension problem, explained their findings with me and asked me what I wanted them to do, and finished the work in a very timely manner. They also got me an excellent deal on a new set of tires! I look forward to doing business with these guys in the future. If you are in the west suburbs, I would highly recommend using Nofsinger's.

These guys are GREAT! I have had my cars worked on many times over many years at this shop. They are always honest and explain everything that needs to be done and why. Often they give me choices about what to fix first, second, third if my budget is tight and I can't do all of the repairs immediately. I saw that they were just listed as one of the best repair shops in DuPage County in Consumer Checkbook magazine. They have my vote! If you want to try a reliable and honest shop that does a great job, I would highly recommend these guys.

I had a 1998 Chevrolet Malibu with 170,000 miles which I took it to Nofsingers for everything and was never disappointed. They always take the time to check everything out and explain things to you. I was having a problem with the oxygen sensor which caused me to fail the state emissions test. When I went in the next day to pick the car up, not only had they fixed the problem but they had taken it to the testing facility, gotten it retested and had my new qualified paperwork ready for extra charge!! They are the best.
