Whether it's a simple oil change or a more complex problem, Tony has been honest about the work that is needed and doesn't attempt to sell you on unnecessary repairs. I have a problem with the radio/clock in my Jeep, and he was willing to admit he could not diagnose the problem and advised me to take it to either the dealer or an audio specialist.

I was introduced to Central Park Service (Mobile) through a bulk mail advertiser in January 2007, shortly after we moved to Evanston. In February, they performed a rear brake job on our Ford Ranger and, in March, they replaced the damaged radiator in our Jeep Cherokee. I found their manner to be friendly and professional. The owner/operator, Max Meijer, is knowlegeable (28 years experience) and has been both accessible and generous with his time in response to my questions and concerns. While my association with Max is only a couple of months old, I trust his work and expect he will stand behind the completed jobs that leave his shop. While I think he is not the least expensive, I judge his rates to be reasonable when comparing similar businesses. I would encourage other patrons of Central Park Service to share their experiences in this space and I shall update my experiences as they occur. Best Wishes, Paul

I called this shop while trying to locate an honest mechanic for my daughter who was moving to Evanston. The guy that answered the phone could not even tell me how much they would charge for an oil change for a 2010 subaru outback, regular oil. He would only say, "it just depends"! "We'd have to see the car." he said. I think I'll move on down the mechanics file list and pass on this one.
