I assume this is the Tune Tech on State Street. With teen agers, once I had 4 cars, all under their car. Personal service is excellent (once going to my wife's dead battery and getting her to work on time, etc.). Diagnosing modern cars is tough. On my son's Suburu they took several days, including a Saturday, to diagnose the problem, then charged the book rate. Lost money on that one, but earned my respect.

Could have ripped me off due to my ignorance, but did not.

Towed my broken-down granpamobile into their parking lot because it was the closest to where the car broke down and left it overnight. Called the next morning to ask them to diagnose it and let me know the problem and what it would cost to fix it. They were able to diagnose in one day and called me with an estimate. I asked a few questions then checked with another mechanic in town to see what they would charge for the same repair (fuel pump), and TuneTech was priced lower. So, I had TuneTech do the repair. I am glad to have found a reliable, reasonably-priced repair shop so close to home.

My friend brought his Lexus to Tune Tech on State Street in Boise, and said he thought they were great. I tried them for an oil change, and they called me and said I had a problem. A squirrel had made a nest in my car and started eating the belts and hoses. They urged me to come back to take a look before fixing things because they wanted to show me the damage. It was an amazing site. They fixed it all for a reasonable price. I have been back many times since and always with positive results. Highly recommended.

They charged me nearly $75 for an oil change. AN OIL CHANGE! Who asks what an oil change will cost when they bring their car in? Then....there was an oil spot under the car the next morning. To their credit, they did replace the filter and there have been no more oil spots.
