They always treat me with respect and take the time to explain everything, even though I know next to nothing about cars. I'm a young woman, and it would be very easy for them to take me to the cleaners, but they don't. They're really honest about stuff, and when my car developped a complicated problem involving the fuel injectors and several other important parts, they said, "Look, it'd be better if you just got a different car. Don't waste your money, this repair's going to be horribly expensive, and with the shape the car's in, it could still die 6 months from now. Don't bother."

They have worked on my Honda several times and their estimates have been dead on except in one instance where there was an unforseen problem. They remember who I am and when I stop in to purchase gas (they are a gas station too), they are always willing to check my tires, oil or whatever I need. They seem to go above and beyond for me.

I'm a female college student, my Dad lives out-of-state, and I probably wouldn't know the difference between a radiator and a carburator, so I'd be an easy person to fleece. However, the people at Russ', which everyone in town calls Russ' Amoco, are really nice, they explain everything, and they don't sell you things you don't need. When I got my car, which is secondhand, I asked them if I needed some new tires. This is where a less ethical place would have sold me an entire set of new tires and charged me for putting them on, because I had no idea if I needed new tires or not. However, the guys at Russ' checked the tires, which took maybe 2 minutes, and said, "No, these tires are fine." They didn't charge me anything to look at my tires. I always feel as though they respect me even though I know next to nothing about cars. Also, they're really good about giving their clients rides to wherever they need to go, and they'll even pick up up when your car is ready.

The staff is competent and communicative. The owner is knowledgable and fun to talk to, fond of Car Talk, and supports National Public Radio.

I run a small non-profit agency with a limited budget. We can always count on Russ' for timely, efficient and affordable repairs. They are very honest and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Never had a bad experience. Always honest. John goes out of his way to take care of me. Only place I will go.

My car wasn't starting, and I thought it was the starter or something. I took it in, and it turned out the floor mat was caught under the clutch pedal. No charge, and they even tried to make me feel like less of a moron.
