A very nice place to do business. They are honest and reliable. A real pleasure after doing business with the "Dealership".

1st the address for Hicks is 2025 US Hwy #1 (US #1 and 20th Street). Mr. Hicks has worked on my 1984 Cadillac on two occassions. The 1st occassion was an electrical problem; I do not recall the specifics. He could not find the problem, so he sent the car to the local Cadillac electrical problem solver John (Now Royal Palm Auto). He took care of the problem for the same price that he had quoted. The 2nd time I used Mr. Hicks & Son was in June 1999. They replaced a fuel pump. The work was timely and he charged $224.70. He also provided me with "lifetime warranty" that the parts supplier agreed to honor (CarQuest Auto Parts; Greg Bleeker). I would use Mr. Hicks more frequently if he were located closer to my residence, which is about 10 miles away. I found this garage to have old fashion integrity and would strongly recommend senior citizens to trust him.

This is the greatest car repair shop I have ever been to. Roger and Scott give old fashioned service at the most reasonable price. Once they had difficulty finding the problem but continued to work at it until they solved it. We go there for routine maintenance and major repairs. Don't let the looks of the station fool you~they are wonderful mechanics and darn nice people!

Great brothers ( and dad, I think!) on corner of busy Rte 1, but close to the Miracle mile to shop while they work on the cars. Old former gas station, no frills, just honest and great work.

My wife took our 2001 Toyota 4Runner to Hicks for a vibration coming from the rear and to have the transmission serviced. The transmission got serviced, I hope, gonna have to check on that, but Scott told us that it was the rear end that was making the noise and vibration. He suggested a couple of places to take it to, and I talked to Mike at M&R Customs who suggested to go to a junk yard and find a replacement. I found one, took the truck to Mike, he jacked up the rear end, crawled underneath the truck and came back out and said did they even look at the U-joints? I said yes, Hicks told us they were fine, Mike said the U-joints were shot. An hour later, I was back on the road, no vibration, no noise, my smooth ride was back. However, the replacement rear differential cost me $214.00, of which the junkyard refunded all but $80.25. When my wife called and spoke with Scott about this, he said well, the mechanic who worked on the truck was just diagnosed with lung cancer and that he was sorry, never even made an attempt to correct his wrong. His mistake cost me $80.25 that I won't get back, but I will make it very clear to all I know in Vero Beach what type of shop this really is. It is not the shop as we once knew it was.
