Terrace Auto was recommended to me in 2004 when I moved to Tampa. Since then I have always been impressed; not just with their knowledge, but compassion and desire to help. When I first got my Pontiac it had numerous issues from the start but I had also had numerous HORRIBLE experiences with the dealer so Karen and Ray would look over my car and give me a guess on what the issue was and what it would entail/cost to repair it even though I would be taking it the dealer to actually be fixed. Another example of how they care about and protect their customers is one day some lovely person backed their trailer hitch through my front passenger side bumper and wheel well then tore it off (bumper, windscreen, and front section of the wheel well) as they left the scene. They fixed the damage to hoses etc then recommended a body shop to me for the bumper, windscreen and wheel well to be replaced. I got it fixed but when I went to pick up my car from that shop I discovered that someone had gone through my trunk and medical gear moving things and a few things were missing as well, not to mention that my silver car with black interior was now brown from dust and mud- inside and out. I complained to the manager of the body shop and basically got excuses and denials. I called Karen to let her know what was going on and that I wasn't happy with the service and attitudes at this shop and that I wanted to make sure she knew about it since she is very customer service oriented. She apologized to me about this and I found out later that she called the other shop and spoke with the owner about my complaint. The owner contacted me later that day and offered to detail my car and he refunded me some of the cost because of how upset I was. Karen, Ray, and Jose are amazing people and mechanics (except Karen who is the office manager) they truly care about their customers and it reflects very clearly in how they treat their customers and the lengths they will go to help. I've since moved to Lakeland but I will still drive to Tampa for them to do any repairs on my car simply because I know it will be done correctly and efficiently the first time nor will they pad the bill just to get money. Don't look any further, they are the only mechanic you will need :)
