My wife and I both take our Volvos to VolTech mainly because of the owner, Christine Jarvis, a lady who knows Volvos inside and out. More than a few times I've had two of her mechanics debating what was wrong with my car and she'll walk over and nail it every time. She's honest, charges you her price for parts - no markup - and is a pleasure to deal with. Female customers, especially, feel very comfortable with her, obviously. Because of all of this, she's always swamped with work, which can mean extra time to get your car back, but it's worth it!

I have taken several of my Volvos over the years to VolTech. Chris is wonderful to deal with and Mark is an excellent (and eccentric) mechanic. I said I was an unbiased customer, but over the years I feel like we are also friends. They keep cars running , are willing to locate used parts for the budget challanges amoung us.

Honest and reliable. Will work with you to find economical solutions to problems when the by-the-book repair is untenable. We are looking for a new car and want a Volvo because we know VolTech will take care of it, and us.

Woman owner, Chris Jarvis, who knows more about Volvos than any man. Seriously. All women, especially, should bring their Volvos there for repair. Does not mark up the price of parts, I don't believe. Exceedingly honest and goes out of her way for customers, sometimes to her detriment. Not always on time with the repairs due to only a few mechanics. That can be frustrating, but the good so heavily outweighs any bad, it' just a minor annoyance.

Chris Jarvis runs a wonderful shop - and she made it possible for me to buy a car from 500 miles away and have it worked on while letting me relax. She inspires confidence and trust and delivers. Her waiting room has the added charm of being full of Australian sheep dogs and such that she rescues and finds homes for - how can you not trust a mechanic like that. Plus, I cannot remember another time I felt so loved at a garage by sweet dogs with more hair than most mechanics. After i left Tallahassee to drive my classic 240 station wagon home to Memphis with NO problems on the road she has continued to give me advice online as I explore the quirks. And she is a wonderful person. I wish her shop was close enough for me to use all the time. If you have a Volvo and live near Tallahassee you can trust her with your car - and maybe pick up a good puppy - or at least get a lot of loving in the garage office.
