Finding a great mechanic isn't easy because there is only one method that works: word-of-mouth. Chuck is probably the most competent, honest, and precise mechanic I have ever experienced. His low prices come with a high guarantee, and that is the work will be done right all the time. He fixed my wife's Subaru that a Subaru dealer had messed up. Try him! Paul of St. Pete

My wife and I each have cars that we have had Chuck work on. One is a 2000 Monty Carlo SS, the other is a 2005 Mini Cooper S. Chuck was very honest with us, up front about our repairs(that's strange for a mechanic). He gave me an estimate for replacing my ac compressor on my Cooper. Not only did he do excellent work, in a very timely manner, but my end bill was less than his original quote. Personally, I've found MY MECHANIC. THANK YOU CHUCK.

Find an honest mechanic if you can. Here is one! Chuck has fixed my cars over the last five years, and I've followed him from his two previous locations. If something goes wrong with my 13 year old car, I know Chuck will tell me exactly what's up and get it fixed at the lowest price. Chuck has been able to diagnose and fix every problem I've brought to him with several cars and fix them quickly. Most shops in this town are out to do one thing: up sell you into expensive repairs. Chuck just tells you what's wrong and the lowest cost way to repair it. That's what I want which is why I go back to him.

Chuck is a great guy and he works on Volvos. He works hard, fair and honest. Even worked late to make up for a supplier mistake. He did a great job on some routine maintenance. I will be back when I have a real problem.

After an long reseach through VW dealers on the repair of my transmission VW dealer claim that there is no maintance service needs to be done to the transmission. The transmission oil need not to be replace cause it last the life of the car. With only 95K miles when I start the car and started to drive it felt like the car did not wont to get into gear. I found out that if I let the car warm up for about 10 to 15 minutes it would work fine, but this was not normal I spend about two weeks looking for a repair shop even dealerships and no one wanted to repair the trasmission just replace it with a remanufacture one or one with a low milage. Both these option were very costly I'm talking about in the 4 to 5k which I do not have. One day as I was talking to a friend about the problem I was having with my car Hector Ferrer of HF Rotorsports/Motorsport just happen to be there he refer me to Chuck's Service & Repairs. Chuck explained to me the importance of the oil transmission flush and I explained to him how no one (repair shops and VW dealer) did not wont to service but to replace the transmission. Chuck told me to first try the transmission flush which I did I was there I saw what that transmission oil looked like at firt to what it look like when transmission flush was done. Even though it was not an easy job to do Chuck got the trasmission flush done. Chuck used a BG Automatic Transmission Service Kit with BG Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid immediately the car felt smoother but it still had the problem with it were I had to wait for it to warm up. I went back to Chuck he added another can of conditioner into the transmission and now its been three days. I have to tell you the car ride nice. I cannot begin to tell how happy I am with Chucks service to my car he saved me so much money. I have decided for now on Chuck will be the mechanic to service the two cars I own. I'll tell you its hard to find such great mechanics these days all they want to do is rip people off. Thanks Chuck for your help you are a grat mechanic and people need to know.

My family services their car exclusively with Chuck. I moved to the St. Pete area 3 years ago and needed a mechanic. I found Chuck on this site, and decided to work with him after reading the glowing reviews. I was not disappointed. Chuck has repaired at least three vehicles for my family, for a wide variety of problems including: A 90's Dodge Duelly truck with an electrical problem; a 2001 Mercury Sable with a bad distributor; a 2003 Subaru Baja that needed new brakes and a new wheel bearing. With each repair, Chuck communicated the problem clearly, explained the solution options, and clearly explained the costs, including the breakdown of the labor and parts that made up the cost. Chuck's prices are not the cheapest, but they are FAIR. He does the job right the first time and he completes the work on-time. In summary, Chuck is an honest mechanic that you can trust with your vehicles.

I bought my 2001Nissan Altima December 3,20013 from what I thought was a reputable used car dealer in Pinellas Park, Florida.(that is a whole different review) . The very next day I took it to National Auto Services, which I had been using the last three cars I had owned( six year span) As a result, they said I needed a left front axle as well as the steering rack and pinion. I had only come in for an oil change. Now, I am a disabled senior citizen on a very fixed income, which they were aware of. Because it was such a serious safety problem, (your steering , and could cause serious accident if it were to break, it had to be fixed ASAP. $ 950.00 on January 18, 2014. My son helped me out, thank god! Not even a week later my Check Engine Light came on. So I took it back to them; this time, I needed a new gas cap and a distributor $445.86. But, this did not fix the problem, I also needed a knock sensor? Estimated price$547.62!! Well, only having this car only a month, already it is costing me more than half what I paid for this stupid car! This has taken All the joy of having what I thought was a decent reliable car finally. Well, I did not have them fix this newest problem. I am so thankful I decided to seek out a different mechanic!! I actually found Chuck's Service &Repairs in the yellow pages. I called him later on a Monday evening and the next day, February 4,2014, took my car to him. When I explained everything I had experienced in the short month I had owned this pile of trouble, he was very shocked at the cost and deceptions that had gone on. Chuck is a very kind, attentive, and knowledgable mechanic. Just because I was a woman, he did not try to put me off or dismiss my questions. He took the time to explain what he would do first to diagnose the problems, why he thought it could be this or that. I did not feel he was trying to find the extreme problems possible. After running a complete diagnostic on the machine, looking under the hood and finding two other minor problems(that the other mechanic didn't even find) checking under the car on the lift, his solution was to replace the Subharness for the knock sensor (a cable that goes from the knock sensor to the intake manifold. Also needed a temperature sender, because my temperature gauge wasn't even working! After having to wait a day for the part to come in , my car was finally fixed !!! It cost me one third of the price this other garage quoted me and he also found two other problems they never saw, which would have caused more problems in the near future. I am SO very grateful and impressed with Chuck's honesty and knowledge as well as his and his wife's friendliness that I felt compelled to write this very extensive review. I will recommend him to everyone I know and even those I don't!! If you have a bad experience or just looking for a great, honest reliable person to take care of one of our most valuable and necessary assets, Our Vehicle, please do't hesitate, call Chuc's Service &Repairs at 12995 Automobile Boulevard, Suite 650, Clearwater, Florida. 1-727-573-9747.
