I'm young and female and know little to nothing about cars, and lucky for me my car has a new problem every week. this makes me extremely vulnerable to getting ripped off (ie: Don Olson who tried to charge $250 to change transmission fluid, thank heavens i spoke with my dad before agreeing). Bob Cole actually fixes my problem the first time. The mechanics are competant and swift.

I've only been to Bob Cole's once to have a used Ford pick-up evaluated. They are a NAPA Autocare Center, have 8 workbays with the latest equipment, and were able to do the job with only 20 minutes notice. To say they specialize in imports is an understatement; among the makes I saw were BMWs, Saabs, Volvos, Mercedes, even a Jaguar XKE and a Ferrari Testarossa! On arriving, I was greeted by Bob Cole himself. He's an ASE certified Master Mechanic with decades of experience. Others have told me Bob definitely stands behind his work: he's a member of the Better Business Bureau and Chamber of Commerce. I'm from a different town (Crestview) and only needed an inexpensive evaluation of a beat-up domestic truck yet Bob & his team still treated me great. Based on my one-time experience, I'd highly recommend them.

I've taken my old Lexus to them for a couple of routine service calls. They are professional and will take the time to explain the problem and solutions. I've also taken my wife's Chrysler Town and Country to them to get a diagnostic. They diagnosed the problem, but he was not sure he could fix it completely because he would have had to disconnect the computer and, since Chrysler will NOT give the computer codes to any other service places, he advised me to go to the dealer. I trust them and will return there with either of my cars. I gave them a 3 on convenience because they are only open regular business hours - but I have found no other repair shop who is open longer. Have been a customer for last 20+ years, always imports, but quite capable of working on domestic cars as well. Shop has always done a good job for me and my family's cars. If you're in Pensacola and have car problems, recommend this shop.

I went to Bob Cole when he was in business with Ron Blake at Runway Imports and SOMEONE in that shop punched a rather large hole in the transaxle case of my VW Camper. I didn't realize this until the transaxle became dry and had to be replaced. They had attempted to repair it by placing a large bolt into the hole ( i forget how they secured the bolt in the case, but... ) and NEVER mentioned this to me. When confronted about this they became... indignant ( to put it nicely ) and refused to discuss the matter with me any further. I had an outstanding bill of ( if memory serves me well ) a few hundred dollars ( certainly less than $200.-250.00 ) and when i told them that they were going to have to "eat" that bill they got very hostile. I wrote a letter advising them that if they started collection procedures on me that i would take them to court and sue them not only over the bill that i owed to them but the cost my parents had to spend to fix the transaxle and the hassles of trying to get a ride to wherever i needed to go, etc. etc. etc... They never communicated with me again BUT they also "ate" the bill. I believe that part of the reason that they didn't pursue me actively was that my mother had an old, almost rusted out Karman Ghia that Bob really wanted and he took that "in trade" for SOME of the costs of the repairs - the repairs that THEY screwed up! I wanted to get the Ghia back but my parents didn't want to try to go after it, so... This is my story about my encounter with Bob Cole and Ron Blake!!! I would NOT give them a 3 star rating but rather a 1 or 2 at best! If Bob had owned up to their screw up I would've been a loyal customer for life, but... ONE or TWO STARS at best!!

I hated how unprofessional this shop was, to how dirty it was and I saw two of their mechanics Adam & Matt watching PORN on the computer when they thought I didn't see them. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Thank God I didn't have my 6yr old son with me, how would I explain that? Real professional guys, NOT. Their prices were way up there compared to local shops, why? I wasn't getting anything special, but a hard time from them and a misdiagnosis. They tried to sell me something I didn't need, I called in a different mechanic and he told me to take my vehicle out of there, he did an inspection and just said I needed some clean fuel and maybe brakes in the near future. Not a new motor or "Junk my car" to his friend, like they told me to do at Bob's. Seriously? Just because things are slow at their shop, they wanted to make me pay for something I did not need! I will never come back here again. You will not rip me off or anyone of my family members or friends.
