I'v had several cars in for repair and was always impressed by their professionalism and honesty. I only wish they were open on weekends or later at night.

This was by far the best experience I have ever had in having something fixed with my car. I felt the cost was fair and that I was treated with respect. That's a winning combination. I would recommend Ron Jon's to anyone who needs to have their car worked on.

I live in Iowa, and I was looking at a Corvette in Orlando. I found their name on your website, and they did an inspection for me. The service manager, Wesley, was very
helpful and friendly. If I lived there, this would be my shop!

This is a family business and it is run by people who care
about their reputation. I always get the feeling that they
really care about the customer. In one instance, the repair to
my vehicle took a day longer than expected, and I was offered
a loaner car for the inconvenience at no charge. When I asked
questions, I felt I received totally honest answers, even if it
cost them revenue (in my case they worked through the cost of
repairs on one of my vehicles with me and concluded that it
might be time to purchase a new vehicle). Ask for Wesley.

I took my car in for repair after the stick shift suddenly
became disconnected from the mechanism below. The car would
not even go into gears. John said it could be around $100 if
he can use a bushing replacement kit, or $500 if they have
to replace the larger mechanism that the cable is a part of.
By the time I had my car towed to the shop John had already
located the bushing at another location and had it brought
to his shop. I was extremely happy to hear that and ended up
paying the much lower price.
This was only my first experience with this shop but so far
it's been very good and based on this I would recommend him.

We have taken both our 9 year old Honda Civic and our 10 year old
Toyota Corolla (before it got totaled in a crash) to Ron Jon's several times
over the years for routine maintenance. When our cars were under
warranty with the dealerships, we would bring it there for an inspection and
get outrageous quotes for a bunch of unnecessary work. We would then
bring it to Ron Jon's for a second opinion, and time after time, they would
tell us what needed to be done and why and what had no business being
on that list. Their honesty is so refreshing and they are the only mechanics
we use now. Our cars have lasted so long under their care and with very
minimal investment. Their prices are fair, the mechanic are knowledgeable,
and they always get our cars back within a day or two.

I was very worried about finding an honest mechanic in
Orlando after I moved here from NY where I had a great shop,
but John is turning out to be very honest and competent. I
had my front brakes done on my Saturn '99 and the serpentine
belt and for both they charged less than $200. Moreover, I
asked that he change the engine air filter just because my
manual said to do it at 90K miles but he said the filter
looked clean and didn't need changing. In less honest shops
they would surely sell me a new filter. He also checked my
CO2 sensor for free. John always explains everything
carefully and I never feel like he's pushing any services I
don't need. Overall a great shop - honest and competent.

We treid Ron Jon's because of car talk reviews. They were correct.
The Lexus wanted $677 to replace the alternator and serpentine belt. Ron-Jon's confirmed the problem but did the repair for about $350. They did use a rebuilt alternator with a lifetime guarantee. That is one reason for the lower cost.
They were courteous. They did the repair on time for the cost quoted on the phone. We will use them again.

Owner and front desk people seem nice enough, but one of their mechanics has a real attitude, spends more time on facebook than working (at least when I was there) didn't fix the problem, then denied it when I took it back.
