They seem to be competent enough and they do know what a carburetor is. They have a bad habit of telling you the cost over the phone,(after they've looked at the vehicle), then presenting you with a bill that's 30% more than quoted. I think they're a bit over priced but hell, the only mechanic I thought didn't overcharge put inadequate parts on my van. Cheers Bill

I walked in to a bill that was $200.00 more than they told me. The "lady" behind the desk tried to tell me she could not do anything about it and there was no one else there that could talk to me. First HUGE lie - she was the OWNER I found out not very much later!!!! She did ask me what the problem was - I told her. Too long a story to tell, but it involved the parts store where I bought my battery that was still under full warranty. Long story short - the parts store came through with a free replacement because the battery was still under warranty, but they told my that Chris had called them from this repair place and told them he was just trying to get extra stuff out of me - they had been doing business with them for a while, so I guess he thought there was some kind of camaraderie going on. When I told her that - she hit the roof and called me a liar. She kept saying they would never say that, so she called them and had them on speaker - they confirmed what I said! I asked her to work with me and she refused and held my car captive while they ripped the new alternator out or my car. We had to sit there for an hour and a half and wait while she did this because she refused to take my money (I kept trying to pay for it, because I needed my car). She was screaming at me at the top of her lungs so much that the guys in the shop came to see what was going on. Why, you ask? Because Chris is her SON and I had just sat there (another customer was in there, too) and listened to the auto parts guy confirm what I told her. No one ever gave an explanation as to why it cost $200.00 more except that they decided to run a bunch of test on it that I never asked them to do and never told me I was getting charged extra for it. They only ever gave me the one price. Well, guess what, I already got another mechanic to fix it for... you guessed it more than $200.00 LESS!
