I can not recommend this shop enough. I have never met
more honest and hard working people. Brothers Larry and
Fred started this shop with the premise that they would
provide honest work at a fair price. Fred has since moved
out of town, but Larry is still there. I have since moved
out of town, 3 hours a way, but I still drive from Orlando
to Davie to have Larry work on my car. When you find
someone you can trust, it is hard to deal with someone
else.
Larry has taken care of 4 cars for me since the 80's, a
Suzuki Samauri, a Dodge Caravan, a Nissan truck, and for
the past 13 years, an Izuzu Hombre. My favorite anecdote
involves my old Dodge Caravan. The van was doing x and y
and I thought I knew what was wrong with the car. So I
drove in and told Larry that the car needed x,y & z. I
left it with them. They called me an hour later and said
the car was ready. They said it didn't need x,y & z, there
was just a fuse that had blown. When I asked how much I
owed them, they said no charge, it took them 5 minutes to
figure it out and replace the fuse. Then and there is when
I knew I had found my mechanics for life.
Once, up here in Orlando, I was stuck and had to use a
local mechanic. First I called Larry and told him the
problem. He said it should cost about $200 to fix. Well,
the mechanic up here said it would be $900 to fix. Larry
was not happy, but managed to narrow down the repairs to
$600 for the bare minimum to get it back to him. He
finished the repairs for me at a much lower price.
Their name says that they specialize in Air Conditioning,
but they are a complete shop. They do just about
everything. As I said, I can't recommend them enough.
