Rick is fabulous! He runs the shop. They know what they
are doing; we have been taking our cars to him for over 10
years and have always had excellent service that is not
overpriced. I totally trust Rick. It used to be that you
had to buy your car there before they would work on it, but
that rule has changed and they will service any auto.

I live in Pittsburgh, PA and was looking for a Honda Element with a manual transmission, preferably between 2007-2009. Needless to say, there were none in my area. My friend found a couple, all out of state. From looking on the Internet, I found one that looked good and was reasonably priced - only it was in Dover, DE - a 6 hour drive. Rather than make a trip for nothing, I looked up mechanics in the area and found Rick and Delaware Auto Sales Incorporated on this site, already with five stars. I decided to give them a call.
From the minute he answered the phone, Rick was friendly and helpful. He was able to check out the Element (took it for a test drive and for an inspection as his shop) and get back to my by the end of the day. He said that if he were looking for an Element, this is the one he would buy. I had lots of questions about what he found. He took his time to answer them and never treated me like a stupid woman (as many of you know, this can be a real problem). On his word, I travelled to Dover and purchased the car. I couldn't be happier with the car and the service provided at Delaware Auto Sales. With every contact (asking about the car, asking for directions, asking how much I could give Rick for this invaluable service), I felt completely confident that these guys were above board, honest, and professional. Rick and his staff even continued to answer some of my questions when I brought the car to their shop to thank them for their help after my purchase, before heading home.
My mechanic up here (who I have known all my life and trust completely) in Pittsburgh is pleased with my decision as well. Without Rick's help, I am not sure that I would have travelled all that way to buy the car. If he is willing to be so professional and helpful with someone who will probably never be able to bring him another car to work on, I can't imagine how great he would be with repeat customers. He is the kind of stand up guy who give us faith in humankind. I highly recommend Delaware Auto Sales.
