These guys are honest. My brother suggested that I have J&R Automotive repair a certain component, Joe (the mechanic) told me that the piece in question was fine and the problem was with something entirely different, and much cheaper to fix. When I was preparing to move to another state, I told Joe to look my truck over and make a list of all repairs needed. I told him he could do most of the work before I moved. After he and another mechanic examined my vehicle, he told me to "sell the truck" that it wasn't worth spending money on all those repairs given the age of the truck. Obviously, making money off me was not a priority. [And to the women reading this, you will find that unlike most shops, these mechanics don't talk down to us.]

Several years ago Joe was recommended to me by a local parts store. I was told that Joe was a young man trying to "make a living, not a killing". Over the years I've never had a reason to doubt that description. He is never to busy to discuss your car problems and his $ estimates are usually right on the money. I also wish to take a moment to mention his partner and his employees of whom he is justly proud. Partner is Russ Fawver and the two other mechanics are Glenn Lombardo and John Valenti. A winning team if there ever was one.
