Joe and his mechanics are competent, efficient and friendly. He spends your money like it was his. He never makes unnecessary repairs. The bill is always reasonable. One of the best garages I have ever dealt with.

When I moved to Westport, out of convenience I used other
shops after going to Joe for years. Man, I didnt know
what I was in for. Bad repairs, phantom repairs,
unreplaced parts I paid for, and the bills, holy cow.
Joe fixed my clutch after a national "transmission
specialist" botched the job and it failed in 7,000 miles.
I brought it back after 1000 miles to tell them its
chattering and the manifold gasket leaks. They said it
had to "set in" and go away. Joe is the best, he fixes it
once and fixes it right. He replaced all parts and at far
far less than the chain. He even caught a broken
transmission mount, and kept all parts for me to see
including an old chewed up flywheel that was supposed to
have been replaced. Car now drives like new and has no
manifold leaks.
Joe is the best diagnostician and repair guy in all of
Southern Fairfield County and I trust him implicitly. He
is the only mechanic my wife will go to because he takes
the time to explain exactly whats wrong. Probably because
he knows exactly whats wrong and how to fix it. He has
done a lot of repairs for us and we have never had a bring-
back, but I hear he is super.

If I learn that a woman is looking for a good mechanic I
ALWAYS steer them to Joe. Extremely trustworthy man and
very talented.

I took my recently purchased, used Honda to Giuseppe for a
safety and overall mechanical inspection. Apart from a minor
issue--a chattery clutch (his advice: live with it until you
need a new clutch because it's expensive to replace)--he
found no problems. Total charge for his trouble? $0. Zilch.
He accepted, at my insistence, a $25 tip.
When the car needed a new muffler a couple of months later,
the mechanic of choice was obvious. This guy is honest,
almost to a fault.

Unfortunately as of January 2012, the shop is closed and boarded up. The building is for sale.
