I have a 1981 Volvo with 88,000 original miles, a car which I bought new. A while ago, the car started acting up and I had Hometown, which had been regularly servicing both of my Volvos, look it over. Rotted wire covers, ineffective fuel injectors etc. The 81 ran lousy. They couldn't find a replacement fuel injector since Volvo stopped supplying them. I gave them a name of a web-site firm that I had used for headlight replacements. They contacted the firm, got a rebuilt injector from CA and installed it along with the new wire set, plugs etc. With labor, my cost was $1000. A bargain since the most I had ever put into the car other than normal service were mufflers, tires and brakes. The effort and the attention put in by John and Ed were terrific.

John is exactly what I need in a mechanic. Skilled, no nonsense and reasonable. His shop is 5 miles from my home and when I arrived he drove me home in my car so I could point out anything I thought might be a concern. When the car was ready he drove over to pick me up. He did the 45,000 tune up on my 2003 Rav4, doing exactly what Toyota called for and it was a serious savings over the dealership price. He's advised me to plan on new tires before winter and what percentage of brakes remain. He's a keeper!

These guys won my heart when they saved me almost $1000 by telling me that the previous estimate I had gotten from another shop was a big crock, and all I needed was a $150 repair. They've had all of my business since!
