I've given these guys lots of grief over the past 15 years as I tend to run my cars until they collapse in a heap of rust. They have done everything from a new engine for my Plymouth Horizon (finally junked at 240,00 miles) to timing belts (several at 60,000 intervals) for my Ford Escort wagon. (purchased at 40,000, still going strong at 180,000). They have always been totally honest and Frank never ceases to complain about the pieces of junk I bring him. To his further credit he has refused several jobs when he felt that they were beyond hope of repair. I hope he is eating well and getting lots of exercise as I plan to continue using his services until I collapse in a heap of rust.

These guys use a MANUAL TORQUE WRENCH to tighten lugnuts. And then a second guy checks the work! This is a place that relieves you of any fear that you're being taken advantage of, or that they're winging it. Frank will tell you when you should and should not do something, never pushes for something unnecessary but will hound you if he thinks there's something you should do, especially if it affects safety. One caution: don't get him talking about politics unless you have lots of time.

Most honest place I have know for 25 years. Will never recommend unneeded repairs!!!!!!!! Will tell if repair is not needed or can be postponed because for example something is not fully worn out yet, e.g.brake pads, etc. Will look for cause of problem instead of replacing unneeded parts.

Great shop. I was quoted double what it had cost me in the past for a simple axle replacement by a local chain shop and knew that was ridiculous. Called these guys after looking them up here and they quoted me about half the chain store -- right in the range of what I'd expected originally. CARS was busy that week but offered to squeeze me in and even finished before they'd originally promised. The final price was actually a few bucks less than the quote -- I'm very pleased. The whole family is going to come here for repairs from now on.

I'll just second what these other folks are saying. Honest, competent, safety-conscious. The question about responding when they screw things up? Never happened in 15 years. Frank seems to know everything about every car ever made, and Scott is a genius. (Really, probably has a 160 IQ). Go here.

They have worked on my Ford and my Toyota. Every time, the repair has been done correctly and at a reasonable price. The owner explains what he did and why. A couple of times, I've had an open-ended problem and basically gave them license to do whatever they saw fit. They've always done just what was needed at a fair price and never surprised me with work I didn't expect. I trust them with any of my cars. I highly recommend this shop.
