Rick has made getting my Saab repaired a pleasure.
Dec 14, 2001
Rick (I think) was great about explaining things, and did a good job with a major repair (transmission rebuild). The job didnt take as long as I thought it would. However, I was all his oral estimates were ranges, for example "that will be anywhere from $1,200 to 2,500" and when the bill finally came I was expecting somewhere within that range but it was always the high end. I also suspect that he advised me to do some work on the car which was not necessary. The work he did was great, and he was very good about returning phone calls and keeping me informed. I would use him again, even though he is 1 hour from my home, but I advise that his shop is not much cheaper than the saab dealer. The difference is that he and his staff are very communicative and helpful and at least *pretend* to care. His office person is especially preasant. And he fit me into his schedule to tighten up some belts 1 week after the car was returned to me, did it while I waited. I just wish he had been a little more straightforeward about the estimates, I ended up paying a good 500 bucks more than I was expecting....
