Clarence and his partner have been taking care of all the alignments and brakes of all my vehicles, and I have found them to be very good at what they do, and quite reasonable as well.

I've taken my cars in to Clarence for more than one
alignment and for a strut replacement. The alignment went
great and the price was right, but what was good was that
Clarence takes the time to explain what he's doing, and if
he notices something else is wrong with your car, he lets
you know but doesn't push you to let him fix it. In this
case, when I brought my car in for the alignment, he let me
know that the struts were bad. He explained to me what was
wrong and why that was a problem. I asked him how much he'd
charge and he gave me an estimate. I then left and checked
out other shops. His price was about the same as some other
shops (some were higher and one was slightly lower, by a few
dollars only) but since he'd been so great with the
alignment I decided to go back for the strut replacement. I
was very glad I did as everything went great with this as
well. I've also had family who have had work done here and
recommend him as well.

This shop has a new owner, Broc Hulet. I am on vacation, passing through Grand Junction, and I chose the shop based on the past reviews on CarTalk. (Thank you Car Talk reviewers!) I showed up on the shop door step at opening time and Broc fixed my van right away, putting me ahead of another customer due shortly, but who could leave his car for pick-up later. Broc diagnosed the problem quickly (a tire with separating tread) and also checked the brakes (preventive maintenance). He took the time to show me the brakes and the tire and explained everything clearly. The van also had a mysterious intermittent clicking sound, which was determined to be insignificant (couldn't find anything wrong), but Broc showed his honesty - he found a wheel bearing that was a tiny bit loose, and offered to redo it, but said in reality it really didn't need to be done. I appreciated the chance to decide whether to do it for peace of mind or skip it. I found Broc to be kind, considerate, and competent. And the price was very reasonable.
