Have 1982 240 DL volvo w/249K miles. This car has two look alike, rubber ended Volvo keys, one for the door lock and one for the ignition. One VERY cold Colorado morning I jumped into my car, threw the key into the ignition (of course if started right up) and drove to work. Upon arrival, I discovered I couldn't move the key to shut the car off. Keep in mind that it was 7:00 am in the morning. Left my car, running in front of my office and called Steve, who promptly told me to pull battery cables. No, I said, would then have to call tow truck, so put the coffee on, I'm on my way. Of course, he discovered I had door key in ignition. When I arrived that afternoon to pick up my car, my ignition key had a piece of 1"x4" yellow cardboard paper attached to it that said 'IGNITION". In addition to being phenominal mechanics Steve and Walker Smith double as comedians in their spare time.

They have worked on my wifes car for the past couple of
years as needed. They are such great guys that we are
looking at buying a Volvo for our daughter (18) because we
have a great pjace for service! The best!

I'm from Phoenix & I was working a 2-month job in
Cheyenne, Wy. The in-tank fuel pump on my '87 turbo died &
NOBODY in Cheyenne could replace it (or worse, a few
offered to "try"). I worked as a Volvo tech and service
writer for years so it only took 2 minutes on the phone to
realize these guys were good. They fixed it at a fair
price and their workmanship was excellent. A month later
the turbo died. Same thing. Fair price, the best parts and
I was VERY, VERY impressed with their workmanship. These
guys obviously take pride in their work. That is the
number one thing to look for when finding a shop to
service your car.... well, and experience. Buy the best,
cry once.

Walker and Steve have worked on our Volvo's through college
and beyond. They have always been very fair and their
workmanship is excellent. As long as they are still working
as mechanics, we will continue to own Volvo's.
