This automotive shop is owned and operated by one person, Steve Mullen. His business was established approx 16 years ago. When I needed some work done on my car, and at that time not knowing any good, honest mechanic, I asked around and as a result, decided to try Mullen Automotive. That was approx 2 years ago and after my first repair job, I have been back several times since. Before any repair work is started, he will give you all detailed info regarding what needs to be done and if, after the work has started, discovers that other work is necessary, will contact you with the new details before continuing. The cost of repair is also quoted before work begins. All replaced parts will be shown to you, along with a full explaination of why they were replaced. I highly recommend Mullen Automotive. Steve Mullen runs a small shop and therefore the wait time to get in may be longer then you would like. BUT, he is a superb mechanic! Definitely one that Tom and Ray would like. Honest, will not fix something that you think needs fixed but it really does not. Had our Toyota Avalon worked on at another shop when we first moved to Fort Collins, CO. $350 later and the issue was not resolved. Did not return to them (ever). Found Steve by reading an article in the local paper that profiles businesses. Took the Avalon in and he diagnosed the problem, gave us an estimate, and fixed it right the FIRST TIME. Have been loyal customers ever since, for 5 years now, with all of our vehicles and trust him explicitly. He will also tell you something is not needed even if you request it, e.g. tranny flush, etc. I never hesitate to recommend him when anyone needs a good mechanic.
