I wish Steve were in Santa Fe. He's one of the, if not the, best mechanics I've ever paid to work on a car. He's honest, and forthright. By that I mean that he'll tell you when he thinks you're putting money down a rathole (my particular rathole was a 1980 Saab 900 Turbo).

Wayne, Rick, Doug, Chad and Richard! This is the best place I could ever
imagine taking my car. I looked for approximately a year before I found
them. I went to a few other mechanics in the area, but no one compared to
Durango Small Car. They specialize in imports, and figured out how to make
my older Range Rover run like a dream. I recommend them highly . . . they
have been totaly excellent in every way possible. Also, they had a great
mechanic named Andy who left a few months ago, who was also spectacular.
Now my car usually just needs regular maintenance and it is fun to check in
and say 'hello'.

They told me my brakes were worn out and needed to be replaced. I had another mechanic inspect them and they told me that my brakes were in great shape---plenty of years worth of braking surface left. Durango Small Car used to be great a few years ago, but now they have become greedy and dishonest.

Don't go there. I took a 83 vanagon to them for a pre sale inspection. They noted minor problems and worked on them. 3 days later they returned a vehichle with a siezed engine and claimed no responsibility. They cost me over $4000 in damages.

Twice I have had issues while driving through CO from AZ and both times they have fixed my 89 VW vanagon. Both times they got me in quick and did a good job of fixing problem.
