Saab work is so highly specialized, it is great to find a shop where they do nothing but Saabs, really know their business, where they service and make repairs at reasonable rates, supply used parts when they can to save some money and generally beat the pants of the local dealers in the care and feeding of the Saab (and the Saab owner).

They only work on SAABS, and are great. sometimes takes a while to get an appointment, tho.

I am assuming the repairs on the Saab were done
competently, since I just picked it up. However I was told
at the time of dropping it off to get the driver's side
door to open that if it was going to cost more than $175 or
so, I would get a call before they did it. When I went to
pick it up, the bill was $267 plus tax. The person at the
counter, both for dropping off and paying apologized for
screwing up, then went on to say that if they had not done
it I still would not be able to open my door. No offer to
knock some off, or any other compensation.

I have primarily purchased used and new parts from Mile
High Saab. If ever there was a dought whether or not I
could perform the repair, they took the time to take me out
back to show the details of the repair on a parts car.
Furthermore, when ever they have sent a wrong part, they
have told me to keep the wrong part and sent me the right
part next day. Very impressed. The work they have done on
my sisters car has been excellent.

This is the first independent shop I have used for service
& repairs for my SAAB since it was purchased new 12 years
ago. These guys only service & repair SAAB vehicles, but
they are excellent. They have an extensive supply of used
and wrecked cars for parts but also will typically use
genuine SAAB parts for service and repairs.
They're less expensive than the dealers I've used all
around the country, but parts are not a bargain for SAABs,
and they are worth the cost of their labor charges.
Since they only service SAAB vehicles, they see all the
failures and know what to expect, especialy on older
vehicles such as mine.
They have been excellent at diagnosing repairs and making
them right the first time. When they miss on a diagnosis,
they will make it right on a second chance. I also believe
they honestly will try to save their customers some money
if they can make a repair with a used part from their
salvage yard.
They don't have the most convenient service hours, but I
believe their service is worth this minor inconvenience!

First off, let me say I have not had any repairs to my Saab
done at Mile Hi and the interactions I've had with them have
been nothing but professional. However, from a cost and
customer service standpoint, you can find way better for a
short drive further.
I have had to have a few significant repairs to my Saab and
each time Mile Hi was priced the highest. For those of you
that think you're paying extra for honest, competent service
at Mile Hi, there is a place that can provide both those
things for a much cheaper price - East of Sweden. East of
Sweden (a Saab specialist in Broomfield) has provided the
best auto repair experience I have ever had. I live in
Denver and drive to Broomfield just to go to there. You can
read my full review on their Yelp page, but here's a quick
anecdote that involves both East of Sweden and Mile Hi:
I had my car towed to Mile Hi after it wouldn't start
because it was the closest place. They wanted over $700 to
replace the fuel pump. I called up East of Sweden, which I
had been to a couple times before, and their estimate was
only $440! I even checked back with Mile Hi, and they were
doing the same exact work. When I told Mile Hi about the
price difference, they couldn't explain it and they didn't
really care to try. It turned out to be cheaper to tow my
car from Denver to Broomfield ($130) and pay the diagnosis
fee at Mile Hi ($60), than to let Mile Hi do the work. Then,
without even being prompted, East of Sweden lowered the
price for the repair even more to cover the cost of the
diagnosis fee at Mile Hi. I paid only $385! And trust me,
they provide high quality repair work.
If I could give any Denver-Metro Saab owner one piece of
advice, drive a few extra miles to take your car to East of
Sweden first and receive the best service for the best
price.
