Not to be confused with the dealership of a similar name: From checking a used car you're thinking about buying to prioritizing the fixes needed on what you already have (including advice about putting off this or that to help your budget), the treatment here is consistently honest and communication always forthright. It's been their way for years in this family-owned biz! I was referred here long ago by a neighbor family that still goes here with their fleet, and my family continues to rely on Emick's for maintenance of a '90 Civic, an '89 Ranger, an '85 Mazda, and a '64 Galaxie. Yep, you can probably talk 'em into doing the mechanical work on that collector's car you've thought of restoring for years.

I have given these guys the opportunity to run up bills on me (as a test), and found myself pleasantly surprised when they did not try to take advantage of the situation. This is a second generation family business that has been in the neighborhood for decades. I like emphasis they place on their relationship with their customers. Don't get me wrong, these are no nonsense mechanics, but it is nice to know the people that are working on your car. I have a Ford dealership at the end of my street, but their attitudes and level of service have sent me down the road to Emick's.

I have been a customer of this shop for over 20 years and now into the second generation of family ownership. They give honest advice when evaluating a car to buy. They give excellent and timely service for major and minor maintenence. They are sensitive to financial constraints. And they only have frowned a little when I asked them to rescue a vehicle my kids have abused.

Emick's is absolutely the most honest and trustworthy shop I've ever dealt with. They have worked on several makes and models I have owned over the past 10 years. I have recommended them several times over to friends and family.

Emick's replaced my spark plugs and coils on my 2009 Lexus RX350. Pretty pricey at $450 and I supplied the parts. It's not an easy job removing the wipers, wiper tray , the wiper motor assembly, intake manifold etc. so I decided to have them do it. The problem is they nicked the windshield at it's base under the hood in the engine compartment and an 8 inch crack ran up from under the hood and under the windshield wipers into view on the drivers side. So now I have to spend more money to replace the windshield. They said there was no way they could have done it because it's just plastic parts they removed. I guess they think the wiper motor assembly is made of plastic. Youtube videos show that the end of the glass is dangerously close to the wiper motor assembly, with a high probability of hitting the glass and nicking it. I'm done with this place.
