We started to take our Volvo to Bob's Garage after complaining to a neighbor about how unresponive the Volvo dealer was. The neighbor, who also owned a Volvo, recommended Bob highly. Our first visit was to deal with a problem with the engine that the dealer was unable to resolve. Bob fixed it within the day and did so at a cost about one-half of what the dealer charged us to _NOT_ fix it! Every time we have taken the car in, Bob has been upfront with us about the problem, what it would cost of fix, and has even been forthcoming about ways to cut repair costs. Bob is absolutely terrific!

Bob is a superior mechanic, and really knows Volvos. He is not particularly enamored of some of their efforts however. I came up behind him once while he was hip deep, feet off the ground in an early Volvo diesel's engine compartment. All I could hear was him muttering, "smelly, noisy, gutless, piece of #%&*!!.

I had a check engine light on my 1999 Volvo for the last 4
months. I had been to the dealership and another independent
auto shop for the diagnosis. Both wanted to replace the
catalytic converter for $1500. Jason from Bob's Volvo called
me within 4 hours and happily explained all he had found and
how it was all integrated. I felt like I knew what was going
on and I felt confident that his recommendations were right
on. A vacuum hose was completely unplugged and could have
been causing the light on my dashboard, he plugged it back
in and we replaced the control unit and I have had no
problems since. I also had a headlight out and had purchased
the bulb. Without me saying anything he replaced it for me,
no charge. Great guys, respectful and they know their trade.

I feel completely comfortable taking my Volvo to Bob's Volvo. They are friendly,
competent, and well priced. What more could you want?

Have owned 8 Volvos over 25 years, and Bob and now his son
Jason have run an excellent shop all this time. Having
never owned a "new Volvo" they have kept our cars on the
road. Currently have two wagons both over 250,000 miles.
