I had these guys work on my Saab for the 14 years I owned
it. Until my youngest son blew out the transmission and
did something to the rest of the drive train they kept it
running and in relatively great shape. After my youngest
son's adventure I trashed my Saab. I don't have a Saab now
and so I haven't used them for the past 12 months but if I
had a Saab or a Subaru I would be right back. I heard
about this site on Car Talk and after I accessed the site I
thought that these guys should be mentioned. I have 1/2 a
dozen friends who still use them and tell me they are still
very satified.

No need to take your saab, volvo, or subaru to the dealership. These guys provide a welcome respite from the usual high costs and impersonal service that seems to be the norm. Plus you can share a cold beer, after hours, when you pick up your car. Wouldn't take my saab any where else.

I have had 2 different Saabs that these guys kept running
for over 12 years in GREAT shape. I have always found
them to be professional and able to solve problems in the
most cost effective manner. I recommend them highly to
all my friends who have Saabs or Subarus.

Unfortunately, they do make fun of our '87 Subaru wagon.
They obviously prefer to work on our '01 Forester. Is this
age discrimination? But really, they take the time to
explain exactly what they're doing and what we can put off
doing until we have the money, and they're a nice bunch of guys.

These guys have kept my 83 Volvo beater running for the
last 11 years. We also have a Subaru Outback that they
service. Honest guys that do good work. They're nice
guys, too.

It took me several mechanics in Colorado Springs before I
finally went to Sabaru. Now I don't need to go anyplace
else! They are great and very honest!

I LOVE SABARU!!! My engine went out on my '97 Outback and I
had several shops and mechanics tell me it was a piece of
junk and scrap it or pay $7000 to fix it. It has nearly 200K
and is still in great shape (except for the engine...). Mel
at Sabaru said no way, she has the same car, and she
recommended a used engine. She was 100% above board and
explained everything without talking to me like I am two.
She found an engine with 45K miles on it for an amazing
price, and I told her my entire budget was $4000. I left
the car with them for a week when I was out of town and she
called me with regular updates, checking with me about
expenses, and they came in way under budget! My car runs
like a champ!!!!
Best of all, I brought it in today for an oil change and to
check the a/c, which stopped working after the engine
replacement. They went ahead and fixed it, recharging and
replacing O rings for FREE even though they said they had
not touched it when they did the engine. Also, they found a
seep under the valve covers I didn't even know about and
asked me, ME, if I would mind them fixing that UNDER
WARRANTY. They also checked my brakes and power steering
pump, and only charged me for the oil change.
They are seriously awesome, and honest. I love that there
is a knowledgeable young woman working with her family
there, too. They are really nice people and very good with
communication, and never make you feel uncomfortable. I
will stay with them for a long time.

I have been a loyal customer of Sabaru for years. I trusted these people and have spent a lot of money with them. I will never be back. They installed a used part without my approval and did not do a proper diagnosis of my car's problem in the beginning. This potentially caused a fan to blow and the entire procedure ended up costing much more than it should. When I questioned them about it they were confrontational and rude and blamed me for the problem without even considering they could have the slightest responsibility. This is an awful way to run a business and another one of Colorado Springs fine shady businesses. Be careful with this business! They should not be trusted. Liars and cheats!!!!!!
