I called around to several (5 or6) shops to compare price and service before deciding to take my ML 350 to Import Specialist. I am very happy to return to them for all my ML needs. I can always get in within a day or 2. I came well prepared for the service level the car needed, and they covered ALL the items recommended by Mercedes, only doing the repairs necessary and giving timelines of when other repairs may be needed. This is the place for our cars.

Family owned shop that I took my and my girlfriend's Acuras to over the course of two years for repairs large and small. Rick and his father always took the time to explain what was wrong, what repairs were critical and which weren't, and always give a price in advance. It's not the cheapest shop in town, but the extra 5 to 10% you pay is well worth having someone trustworthy working on your car.

I like to support the local guy, and wanted to have another mechanic in the Rolodex for a back up (I use Fuji Motors locally), so, thought I would give these guys a try. Brought the car in for a simple oil change and tire rotation. They got the oil change done correctly, messed up the tire rotation by reprogramming the TPMS sensor numbers into the computer incorrectly. And they charged me $30 for the privilege. Labor charges were ridiculous: $10 to turn the car's key on/off a couple of times to reset the maintenance reminder light. $30 labor to replace the cabin filter, which did not need replacing, on top of the $50 they asked for the filter itself. For what they charged, I could have taken the car to the Lexus dealer and had the job done right and had a wash and wax included for 2/3 the cost of what these guys charged. Never taking my car back there. If you own a Japanese car, stick to Fuji or Hoshi.

Been taking my Miata to them for years, always been very happy with the service, they always explain exactly what the issues are, what needs to be done now, what can wait.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! Long story short, they misdiagnosed the problem with my car, charged me over $2000 and didn't even fix the issue. The day after I got my car back from them, the car wouldn't even start with the motor seizing up. I contacted them to have the car towed back and at this point, Rob, told me that now it was a "catastrophic" event and the car was no longer good. They recommended that I get rid of the car. Things just didn't add up in my mind. I had the car looked at by another mechanic who was able to properly diagnose the problem and fix it in a timely manner - now the car runs perfectly. I was told that this was a common problem with my make and model and anyone that works on these cars should be aware of this issue and competent enough to fix it properly. I was told that due to their inability to diagnose and fix the problem the first time, there was even more damage to the engine and that this could have been avoided. When I contacted them about their neglect and further damage to my car, Joe (the owner), laughed at me and stated it was my own fault. These guys are incompetent, irresponsible and dishonest. I wish I would have never taken my business to them and hope you don't make the same mistake I did. Avoid the headache and loss of money.
