I have an 1986 RX-7 which pretty much needs some kind of repair at least once a year. Being pretty clueless when it comes to auto mechanics, I rely heavily on my mechanic's honesty and expertise. Last year, my alternator went out and I had just enough juice left to drive it to his shop at the end of the day. He didn't really have time to look at it but when I explained that I didn't think I could get it started again, he took the time to check it out. It was, indeed, a bad alternator. He offered only a one year waranty on the alternators he was supplied with from his parts place. I asked him if I could buy the alternator from another parts shop that I knew offered a lifetime waranty and just have him install that one. He oblidged and the next morning I brought it by and he installed it right there as I watched with interest. It took maybe 20 minutes. He charged me next to nothing to put it in and I drove away very happy. I've gone back on a couple of occasions with other minor problems and he was always honest and helpful.

great service so far! Love the name too- Wolfgang owns Coyote Motors. :-) Remembers customers even when they've been out of town for a year and it's been longer than that since we've needed service. Convenient to CU.

My Miata was running very rough and another mechanic
had given up trying to find a reason for it. Wolf ran the
tests and concluded that it was nothing to be
concerned about and that it would fix itself. Sure
enough, it was fine in a few days. A year later I had it in
for a clutch replacement. He did all the work for 150
bucks less than the best estimate. Great guy who
takes the time to explain exactly what he does.
P.S. I got his name from your website. Thanks

Working with Coyote Motors is always pleasant. I know
they will do their best to fix my car for the least amount
of money possible with the best repair solution. When I
buy a new car, I will strongly consider a Mazda, just so I
can keep going to Coyote Motors. Wolfgang is the best!

Turns out I went to the same high school with Wolf back
east in North Jersey. The Auto Mechanics shop guys in our
high school were trusted to work on the faculty cars,
including our Band Director's tempermental Peugot in 1969.
So that's how long he's been working on tempermental
vehicles. He was highly recommended to me by a friend
before I made the connection that I knew him way back when.
I sadly sold my Mazda MX3 and bought a bigger Dodge, but
will most likely trade it in for another Mazda soon,
because I am at a loss out here to find another mechanic
that good. He saved me a bundle on a new engine, had it in
the car in a jiffy, and always took the time not only to
explain the problems and possible solutions, but stayed
true to the initial estimate, and if he found something
else wrong while working, would call to discuss it before
adding any new charges to the bill.
Once, I needed a new hydraulic system for the hatch, and
knowing my limping financial status, he said "wait a
minute"...and came up with a solution that cost me $15 and
lasted me the life of the car.
Wolf has the cleanest most organized shop I've ever been
in, which appeals to me as a woman, and my car has always
been ready for me at the time he says or EARLIER! I'm
really hard on cars, and he always treated me kindly when I
let the oil changes go or ran minor problems into major
ones.
Superior shop and superior mechanic!

Wolf kept my 1988 323 alive long after it should have been
given a decent burial. I bought a new car (2000 Subaru
Forester), partly to give him something less challenging
to work on. He keeps an immaculate shop, and is more
environmentally conscientious than many other mechanics.
BIG thanks.
