I have been doing business with Bill Smith and crew for over 25 years. I primarily drive Volvos but has done work on Honda and BMW. Specializes in Volvos. Many other services and advice given. Completely honest and will fix what they fixed for free, sometimes while you are waiting/ Unhesitantly recommended them. They will drive you and pick you up. But no free lunch.

Towed it in unbeknownst to them, had problem (crank position sensor) diagnosed within 2 hours and repaired in 5. Also did 'free' safety check as part of minimum labor cost, and found small items that they repaired or notified me about. I highly recommend this shop for volvos, and will post again if my impression changes, which I doubt. They're other specialty is toyotas--too bad I dont have one. Parts price comparable to web ship-to-self. FMI on volvos: http://www.brickboard.com

I took a trip to Upland from my home in San Diego and as I got off the freeway my power steering disappeared. When I reached my destination I found my car was leaking fluid. I checked with Car Talk.com, found this service and called to see if they could help. They fit me right in, quietly and competently fixed what turned out to be a broken hose and refilled the fluid. They found no "extra" problems, finished within 3 hours, talked to me about the rest of my hoses (fine) and sent me on my way for not a lot of money. This was a great experience for an out-of-town mechanical problem.
