I've been taking my car here for four years and I'll never go anywhere else. Once when I was in San Diego my check engine light came on and I called Kaloci; Sandy spent twenty minutes on the phone with me (as always) asking about the car to try to figure out what was wrong. When there was nothing that jumped out at her, she had me take it to a dealer and get the number (I'm not sure exactly how it worked, but I guess some kind of indicator that said was what wrong) and then call back. The dealer wanted to charge me $1200 for what they wanted to fix--I started laughing, and called Sandy back--she said it would cost $200 and that it wasn't urgent. Another time, I took my car in and then a few days later the Check Engine light came on--I called and Bill said it was most likely just a reminder to get it serviced, but to bring it in anyway just in case. He checked everything out and drove it for twenty minutes--no charge. They've consistently charged very fair prices, taken the time to show me everything going on with my car and what to look for, and even made time to schedule me in because for a long time I was going to school in SD and was only home for a few days at a time. I've called with questions probably ten times while I was out of town, and they always take the time to call back and offer very detailed explanations. I'm never going anywhere else. I live in SF now, and I still drive back to get my car serviced there.

Kaloci and Son is terrific! I've been taking my 1990 Honda Accord to their shop for the past 5+years. They do a careful job, keep accurate records, call to explain any problems they find and get approval before going ahead, and are genuinely nice people. As a commuting university student, I have limited income and have to make my current car last me through school. Thank you Kaloci and Son for keeping my car going all these years!!!!

My wife and I have been taking our Honda and Acura to them for more than 6 years, and they've consistently provided honest, high-quality service. Aside from Hondas and Acuras being good cars, the team at Kaloci is actually a top reason why I'd want to buy another Honda or Acura -- just so that I can keep them as our mechanics.

Great shop! If you want an "old school" experience (honest, knowledgeable and very fair pricing), you can't do better. I tried for years before finding this place. In short, it's now been almost 20 years and 600K miles and when tempted to buy a different brand vehicle, this shop has kept me buying Hondas/Acuras. Now if you want to ask me about banks, phone companies, my mortgage company, contractors...

Been going to this shop for many years .. Honda CRX, Honda Prelude VTEC, Honda Accord, Acura CL Type S. When I bought the Accord for the wife to use, years ago, I took it to them for its first service. It came without a wing mirror on the passenger side, and I was telling Joe (who has since retired) how annoying that was. When I picked up the car, he had installed the wing mirror and wouldn't let me pay for it. How could I go anywhere else?

I wish they would expand so that we can get into their shop faster. Right now it takes 2-3 weeks to get in.

I have been going to Kaloci's since 1995 or so, per a fellow Honda owner's recommendation. When my Accord became too expensive to fix (at over 145K miles), I bought an Odyssey (family expanding) just so I can still go to Kaloci's (they only service Hondas and Acuras). They have been wonderful all these years, doing thorough maintanence/check-ups for my car, and explaining everything to me very clearly (I assume they do that to male customers as well). They always show me broken parts they'd changed out. The owner, Bill Wada, loves working on cars, and keeps up his knowledge and skills all the time. I went to pick up my car late one night (had arranged to use my spare key, expecting that they'd be closed by the time I got there, and would go back the next day to pay and get my original key) ... to my surprise Bill was still there. When asked, he said he was just doing some reading (on cars, of course)! I just pray that Honda will continue to make reliable cars. My 2004 Odyssey, midnight blue, has a seriously defective paint job that was recalled. Hope that was not a trend with Honda quality!
