TDR Garage is a 2 person operation run by Chief Mechanic Manzur, who not only taught History at UCLA decades ago, but knows the mechanics of cars inside and out. Manzur is one of the most honest individuals I ever have met, he takes great car to explain the problem(s) with your vehicle, he happily parades the removed, broken part for your culinary or other pleasure, and he is beyond reasonable both in his rates and willingness to work with your budget, time constraints and bad hair days. I leave my Camry at his shop unworried and unharried, knowing he will do his best and provide me with all my alternatives, including creative ones that involve french fry grease, spliced wires and wearing sunglasses so you can't see the Check Engine Light too clearly. The shop doesn't look like much, and there's a VW Bug on the lift that's been sitting there since the 90s, but trust me when I say if you go once, you'll never go back to the dealer again, unless you want fresh coffee.

87 Toyota Van- NOT an easy vehicle to work on. while driving a month ago i noticed a vibration and loud noise. took it to a mechanic- he drove it for about 10-15 mins and told me 'its an old vehicle and i was being paranoid'. 1 week ago my van broke. vibration and noise ALL the time now. i found this shop on the click clack webpage AND i couldnt have asked for a better find. he diagnosed the problem in less than a minute and had a solution plan in 20 mins. my drive shaft was super damaged. he fixed my drive shaft went over a few other minor problems and had my car back to me in 2 days!!! he showed me what the problem was and how he was going to fix it, parts cost/labor and was very honest upfront and willing to help in ways of cheapest option etc... he is extremely knowledgeable and could work on ANY make or model. really, nothing but good will come from this mechanic shop! im not from here and this was a chance find- i would HIGHLY recommend him.
