I've never dealt with Gary, but Dave has been working with us for about 6 months now. He's worked on 3 cars for us ... my brother's BMW, my husband's BMW, and my Toyota. I don't think he's a Toyota-certified mechanic, but he's got the BMW certification, and was even able to tell my husband why he couldn't find a replacement piece of paneling for the inner front of his car, between the driver's door and the windshield ... because that particular model was only produced for 3 months before it was replaced by BMW! The BMW dealer had been unable to explain why the colours listed as being offered for that vehicle did not even remotely match the car's interior. When we take the car in for work (all three cars are close to the 100k mark, and have recently needed some work), he usually does a few extra things that somehow makes the cars purr when we get them back ... we usually say how much better the car handles. Price-wise ... well, it doesn't hurt to suggest you're going to go elsewhere. We do live in the Silicon Valley, after all, and they're used to people not even blinking at high prices, especially when they drive BMWs. But they are definitely willing to negotiate if you ask!

Gary & Dave are both certified BMW mechanics. Gary also is certified on Honda. They have worked on 5 different BMWs for me and have done an excellent job. I have always been able to get quick appointments and they are willing to search for used parts for older cars. Prices might be a little high, but seem to be inline with others in the area.
